Safety and Wellbeing Notice
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This app is a reflective learning tool built around the book Work Smarter, Live Better. It is designed to help you think, not to treat, diagnose or advise.
What the reflection coach is not
- It is not therapy, counselling or a mental health service.
- It is not medical, legal, financial or human-resources advice.
- It is not a crisis or emergency service, and no one monitors it in real time.
If you need urgent help
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency number right away. In Canada and the United States you can call or text 988 for the Suicide Crisis Helpline. Elsewhere, your local health service or a trusted person can help you find support. Reaching out is a strength, and support is available in many languages and formats.
Using AI responses wisely
AI-generated responses can be confidently wrong, can miss context, and can reflect bias. Treat them as prompts for your own judgement. Please do not rely on them for decisions about health, employment, legal matters or anyone's safety. Where a decision affects other people, involve a qualified human.
What you choose to share
Your reflections are private to your account, but discussion posts are visible to other members. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing, avoid identifying colleagues or clients, and respect the confidences of others.
Accessibility and inclusion
We build for accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA and welcome members of every background, identity and ability. Voice-to-text, keyboard navigation and screen-reader labelling are supported throughout. If anything is difficult to use, please tell us at support@themarcusaureliusinstitute.com so we can fix it.
Reporting harm
To report a discussion post, a safety concern or a security issue, email support@themarcusaureliusinstitute.com. We review reports promptly and may remove content or suspend accounts.
